Sports has been gaining much limelight in all aspects, it is main facilitator in the social and economic development of the nation. The sports sphere has expanded its boundaries with the rising popularity of leagues such as -IPL, ISL, HIL, PKL etc and various tournaments in almost all countries and opened up an opportunity for the student to look sports as their career option.

BBA in Sports Management will explore to various dimensions involved in Sports as a business. For prospective students who desire to turn their passion for sports into a career or those who aspire to enter into sport industry BBA in Sports Management could be the key to fulfilling possibilities. Sports management programme will mainly aim to understand how to apply business and marketing acumen to the sports world. Student will learn to manage the business side of the sports industry.

Students will be having options to learn sports-specific courses in introduction to sports management, leadership in sports, facility management, financial management, event management, marketing management-sponsorship, advertising, PR, Negotiation, laws and ethics involved in sports management.

Eligibility


  • Passed XII (10+2) or equivalent course in any discipline from any recognized Board/Council/University with minimum 50% marks for general (open) category and 45% marks for students of reserved category. and
  • Candidates are selected based on Personal interview conducted by the University.

While deciding the eligibility of the Candidates following procedure shall be adopted-

  1.  The percentage of marks shall be calculated by rounding off to nearest integer. i.e. if the percentage of marks comes out to be 49.50% to 49.99% then it shall be rounded to 50% and if the percentage of marks comes out to be 49.01% to 49.49% shall be rounded to 49% for deciding the eligibility.
  2. In case the maximum marks in an individual subject is other than 100, the marks will be converted out of 100 for individual subject without rounding, If sum of the converted marks of individual subjects without rounding off works out to be a figure with fraction then fraction up to two decimal places shall only be considered for calculation of percentage of marks considering maximum marks as 300 and, If the percentage comes in fraction, then rounding off shall be done as above to decide the eligibility.

NRI / International Students

NRI/International Students -A candidate who has completed XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board must obtain an equivalent certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). All foreign qualifications need to be verified from Association of Indian Universities (AIU) by the candidate before seeking provisional admission to any program of Symbiosis Skills & Open University (SSOU). In order to promote international understanding between Indian and Foreign students, SSOU has reserved 5% seats for NRIs/International students in every division

NOTE:- *Hostel is optional for Under graduation students.

Note 1 Academic Fees includes Tuition fees, Regular exam fees, Library books & e-journals, Laboratory fees , Practical and Skills Journal. These fees are refundable according to UGC policy. Backlog Exam Fee shall be charged separately. Medical Fees of Rs. 7,000/- for basic medical facilities on campus are Non-Refundable.

  • Hostel & Mess Fees include Hostel Stay and Mess/Dining charges.
  • Laundry facility is available to student on payment basis.

Note 3

  • Academic fees shall be increased up to 15% each year as per the University policies during the period of the program at the discretion of the Management.
  • Revised fees will be applicable to new and existing students.

Other Notes

  • In case a crash course is conducted, a separate fee between Rs.5,000 to Rs.10,000 will be charged. The same shall be notified separately.
  • Nominal fees of Rs.500/- is charged for every non-credit mandatory IDSC course per student.
  • Education loan facility available from nationalised banks.
  • Pay per use bus service for city trip for hostel students @ Rs. 100/- per trip (to & fro).

Discretionary Quota 5% Seats are reserved as Discretionary Quota Seats. Only students with high academic record are considered for Discretionary Quota Seats. The fees for Discretionary Quota Seats will be double the Academic fees for Indian Students to be paid to the University.

  • Start of any academic program is subject to minimum enrolment. In case a program does not commence, student will be refunded entire fees as well as the application form charges.
