B.Tech in Computer Science (UI / UX Design)

Program Details

“Customer Experience” in the “Buying Process” has gained importance like never before. In the brick & mortar model of selling, the customer experience was dependent on physical aspects like show rooms, office décor, cleanliness. In addition, it was also dependent on the human touch like receiving the customer, handling queries in person, accompanying or guiding him / her during selection process.

The new wave of “buying through internet” has changed these dimensions significantly. All the aspects of physical touch points are replaced by the look of the website. The human guidance is replaced by “ease of navigation” of the websites. The value add by salesman on the counter is replaced by product comparison features. The “Touch Part” of the product is replaced by Augmented / Virtual Reality technology and IoT devices. In a nutshell, there is entire paradigm shift in the way the selling and buying happens today.

One of the latest trends shows that user base of software applications has moved away from a typical tech savvy to a novice. Whatsapp as an application and iPhone as a device are greatest success stories of this trend. This became possible only because the UIs are intuitive and simple

Not long ago, a flawless functioning software was the ultimate aim for any software developer that has now become a hygiene factor. The user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) are the paramount factors. The UI / UX science and technology ensures that the millennial customer feels equally comfortable and rather more in this new age buying process.

The course aims at building these technology skills amongst the students that enable them to fulfil demands of e-commerce and IoT devices.

This program is ideal for students with a passion for programming and designing.
