M. Tech Mechatronics Engineering course is centred on Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI.). The synergistic combination of these technologies has made it possible to develop simpler, more economical, reliable and versatile systems. This is upcoming course is a need of the day.
M.Tech in Mechatronics programme will strengthen the students with the skills that will allow them to design, construct and run automated processes based on IoT, Robotics & AI which will be the major automation trends in Industry 4.0.
Nowadays, there is a huge demand of AI and Robotics in different sectors including manufacturing, health, automobile and others. Artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics are a powerful techniques for automating tasks inside and outside of the factory setting. In recent years, AI has become an increasingly common presence in robotic solutions, introducing flexibility and learning capabilities in previously rigid applications.
Mechatronics engineers aren’t the only ones that will be affected by IoT devices, but with their critical influence over manufacturing technology, it’s going to be important to have responsible mechatronics engineers out there. Robotics, with the improvement of AI technology, is another mechatronics-influenced field taking off right now.
Overall the course is structured in such a way that will give a well-rounded knowledge and practical training to the student on which he can build further and become a valuable contributor in the professional world.

At SYMBIOSIS SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL UNIVERSITY, in midst of adroit art infrastructure accompanied by highly intellectual, experienced and supportive faculties; I have witnessed our skills and competence rising to a zenith. The learner-centric environment crafted here trains us practically at industrial levels with academic curriculum and has motivated us for applying our skills with various projects and activities. SSPU has done a splendid job by inculcating the ability in us to learn and build a strong foundational knowledge provided by them. Specifically, about B.TECH in mechatronics, it has allowed me to understand and bond strongly with automation industry and to correlate well with mechanical and electrical energies. Everything I learn practically and theoretically, I can apply it in internship conducted during semester-ends. Furthermore, the internship i.e hands on skills has proved to be a valuable experience during study time. An opportunity to host of international tech and innovation competitions inspired us to expand our horizon of knowledge.

I am so fortunate and proud to get an opportunity of graduating myself from Symbiosis Skills and Professional University which is the first skill-based university in Maharashtra. The reason behind it is the magnificent infrastructure and the friendly as well as very secured environment in the university. I feel so glad to tell that the university offers a great curriculum which is based on 70% of the practical work and just 30% of the theoretical work. So, me being a student of mechatronics engineering, it helps me being more and more practical in my field. The very important thing is that we have been gifted with a very well educated and supportive faculties, who are always ready to help us in the university. The best part which I feel of my university is the placements …. Yes !!The university gives the opportunity to each and every student for the internships in every year which makes us industry ready and quite professional enough in our respective fields. So, yah for me it is like a “dream come true” by acquiring admission in this university. Thank you!!

Hi, I am Arnold Christopher Dsouza student of Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) currently pursuing my B-tech degree in Mechatronics Engg. Presently in the VII th semester. It’s been a great time exploring new opportunities and building new projects. This university has built up new experiences and set a goal in my life. Talking about the university it has the most interesting place according to me 'THE SKILL CENTRE' it has many types of equipment to work with like the German kit LN, PLC etc. which is a type of self-learning kits. The university has lathe machines and carpentry stations to work on and increase our skill, we get a lot of opportunities to show our talents in competitions. We also do have industry visits which help us know how does an industry function and converge our interest to our liking. We also have a Robo club where new teaching-learning is acquired. The professors teach us through audio-visual presentation and are very understanding. The campus is environment friendly with greenery all around and fresh air. I would only like to say this it's not just the university which moulds you it's your dedication and hard work and interests which make a better tomorrow for you.

My experience in SSPU has given me a chance to sharpen my skills in my field of choice. There have been, and there will continue to be, many opportunities to learn more ways of improving my craft as a result of my time in campus.
SSPU’s approach of practical learning gave me a hands-on experience with most of the engineering aspects and enabled me to learn a lot by doing than just reading. The labs equipped with a wide variety of high-tech equipment enables us to learn in depth and to build on the basics taught in class and to see first-hand how an idea leads to development and toward a finished product. Mechatronics engineering being such a vast field in terms of possibilities of growth, SSPU has helped me find and hone my skills in the path best suited for me.
It is this practical approach and openness of the university toward competitions and student participation that has allowed me to expand my knowledge and skill far from just the laboratories.
For example, this year in January Me along with a team of 4 took part in India’s first military robotics competition MILBOTICS 2k19 held at the college of military engineering hosted by the Army design bureau, CME and India first robotics, where we stood 1st and were the winners of.
This was possible only because of the constant support of SSPU months prior in the preparation stages, the fully stacked workshops gave us plenty of resources to work with and the support of teachers and staff combined helped us to leap toward victory.
Not only does this entail a lot in terms of the work put in but SSPU has helped us get in touch with a lot of industries which provided valuable advice and a very interesting perspective on our projects.
I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about all of this and hope to learn even more about different aspects of Mechatronics engineering in the future. I consider this subject a very valuable and important part of the college experience because, not only does it allow one to understand how products and technology is developed, but also gives them more knowledge of what other aspects of engineering are best suited for me and have given me an opportunity to showcase what we are actually capable of.
